In response to the multiple challenges posed by global climate change, and to promote inter-university collaboration and knowledge exchange in the fields of urban resilience and social sustainability in Central Taiwan, the Central Taiwan University System (M6) is hosting the “Resilient Taichung, Shared Good Future: M6 Climate Resilience & Sustainability Forum.”

Co-organized by Feng Chia University and China Medical University, the forum brings together experts and scholars from urban planning, disaster prevention technologies, public health, and social sciences to engage in in-depth dialogue on issues such as extreme heat, climate extremes, urban risks, and social justice. The forum is structured around three key themes: “Technology and Disaster Prevention: The Foundation of Resilient Cities,” “Climate and Society: From Risk to Justice,” and “Governance and Vision: Toward a Shared Good and Sustainable Society.” Through interdisciplinary exchange and knowledge co-creation, the forum aims to strengthen society’s understanding of and capacity to respond to urban resilience and social sustainability challenges under climate change, while further deepening regional collaboration in climate action and sustainable development—working together toward a resilient and shared future.
